At the launch event on Tuesday, alongside the announcement of LG Nexus 5X, Huawei Nexus 6P and Pixel C Tablet, Google has also announced the next generation Chromecast. This Chromecast is very much different from the earlier with all new ChromeCast Audio feature. This feature allows your speakers to become Wi-Fi streamers.
With this new generation ChromeCast user not only can control TV but also your speakers wirelessly. Also unveiled that the refreshed Chromecast app supports spotify streaming and Google Photos. The device is priced at $35 (approx. Rs 2,300) which slightly higher than the earlier flash-drive shaped device. It is similar to the Motorola Moto Stream portable wireless adapter. It also supports high quality audio, 2 watt RMS and an optical digital out. It works best with both Android & iOS devices.

The Chromecast Audio bundled with a feature called guest access, allowing your friends to stream music without connected to Wi-Fi network. It is also upgraded with internal components and supports 5GHz 802.11ac Wi-Fi for stutter-free high quality streaming. It comes with a new feature called "Fast Play," allowing the Chromecast to start a video or audio streaming much quicker to start, once users press the Cast button.
Google revealed that more content is on its way to the Chromecast. Sling TV, and Showtime are now available for Chromecast while MLB, CBS Sports and other services coming later.
