You can easily backup Kindle book to local computers or other devices by following the tutorial as stated below.

In this tutorial we will show how to save yourself the hassle of resurrecting your digital library by backing up your Kindle.  If you want to make a backup of the books you have legally purchased for the Kindle, this tutorial could be useful to you. Backups are useful when you accidentally erase the text of books which you want to retain for reference in future.

These tips would work for anyone who owns a Kindle e-reader. It is actually a useful idea to get access to e-book library even when you don’t have access to the internet. Please Follow these steps if you have a Kindle e-book reader.
  • Connect your Kindle to the computer via a USB cable. The device will show up as an external drive.

  • Go to My Computer and open the drive like you would open any pen drive through your computer. All your e-books will be in the folder labelled documents.

  • Copy this folder to your computer.
  • You can paste the backed up documents folder back to the Kindle any-time.
In case you don't use the eBook Reader and still want to make a backup, you would  need to have Internet access to see the books that you have stored in the cloud. You could be reading these books on any device - a mobile phone, your computer or even your e-Reader. In fact, all the books you have bought via Amazon will be available through the Internet.

Just the information I needed, Abdul. Thanks. A quick question. If we have a Kindle reader on the computer and want to back up to a pen drive, could one transfer the books back using the same process?
