Everyone in their school life came across the famous proverb "Necessity is the mother of Inventions" and 24 year old Antoine Balaresque's invention is the latest instance of the Statement. While on vacation with his family, Antoine observed that his mother was missing in all the pictures because she was the photographer. Soon after that, Antoine with his team worked on the necessity of being clicked effortlessly and the end result was Lily- A self-flying camera that follows the owner once it is thrown in air.
Better known as "Throw-and-shoot" camera rather than drone camera, Lily requires no piloting as it flies and shoots on its own. It follows the unit which has GPS tracking device and captures 12 MP pictures and shoots up to 1080p quality videos. It does not require any type of remote controller and all you have to do is strap on the stylish tracking device. A mobile App lets you refashion flight paths and adjust camera settings.

Lily measures 3 inches high and 10 inches square and weighs around 1.3kg (2.8 pounds). The altitude of this device is limited from 5 feet (1.75 meter) to 50 feet (15) due to the concept of GPS Tracking. The distance can be anywhere from 5 feet to maximum of 100 feet and the top speed is 25 mph.
The device has 12-Mega pixel Sony sensor camera which is also found in GoPro Hero3 and Ion Air Pro 3 Action Cameras. It captures 1080p quality videos at up to 60 fps or 720P at 120 fps. Along with 4GB internal storage, external SD card slot is provided for storage. The only weak point is the battery life which lasts for 20 minutes and cannot be replaced and takes 2 hours to charge fully. The GPS tracker has a mic which records the audio from ground.
