After bagging Number one place in customer satisfaction Index (CSI) study in 2014, Maruti is proving they deserve the title with their work. The latest being launch of Maruti Celerio Diesel, which is the new engine variant of previously launched Maruti Celerio (petrol engine). Maruti Celerio diesel is one of the highly anticipated cars of 2015 after its success with Petrol engine.

The launch of Maruti Celerio diesel is expected in June 2015 and could be sold under DDiS 125 moniker. According to car market of India, Maruti Celerio(Petrol engine) was successful in establishing itself in hatchback division giving its competitors namely Ford Figo and Hyundai i10 a tough time.

This diesel engine car is expected to be India’s most fuel efficient engine with 2-Cylinder unit displacing 793cc; it has an ARAI-certified fuel mileage of 27.62 km/l. The engine produces 47 bhp at 3500 rpm and 125 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm. The transmission system is a manual 5 gear system.
The car will be launched with 4 variants- LDi, VDi, ZDi and ZDi(0). The exterior design and dimensions of Celerio diesel is almost similar to its petrol version with minor changes. The price range of this car is expected to be in between 4.6 Lakhs to 5.7 Lakhs rs. Its competitors in the market are Hyundai Grand i20, Chevrolet Beat diesel and Ford Figo.
