TVS Motors has launched the special edition of its scooter in India. The special edition Jupiter has come up with new colour and additional features. The new scooter is launched to celebrate its one year in the Indian market. It is available across all TVS dealerships in the country - at a premium of Rs 2,000 over the regular Jupiter price. The Jupiter special edition is incidentally priced at Rs 48,925. (ex-showroom, Delhi).
While commenting on the new launch, K N Radha-krishnan, President and CEO, TVS Motor said: "TVS Jupiter has received an overwhelming response from customers. Our focus has been to constantly provide freshness to our products and maximize customer delight and with TVS Jupiter increasingly becoming a preferred choice in its category, we felt that it would be fitting to celebrate with a special edition TVS Jupiter." The special edition of Jupiter gets 'Dura Cool' seat which, according to the company, retains a temperature almost 10 degrees lower, when parked under direct sunlight, compared to that in normal seats. The special edition packs the same 4 Stroke, single cylinder, air Cooled 109.7cc engine which can churn out a power of 5.88 KW @ 7500 rpm and a peak torque of 5.88 KW @ 7500 rpm.

As you all know TVS Jupiter has met with positive customer response as could be evident from the fact that it sold over 3 lakh units since its launch. The scooter was also awarded the ‘Scooter of The Year’ award and the ‘Viewer’s Choice Award in 2014. As of now, TVS has not revealed the number of units it intends to produce of this limited edition nor has it indicated the sale price.
