In order to implement the free Wi-Fi promise, the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi on Tuesday assigned a Wi-Fi task force consisting of several experts to work out the details and make the promise successful. The free WiFi promise had drawn strong criticism from the AAP’s opponents, with many claiming that the promises had made many youngsters vote for their party.

The government is also planning to hold a one-day conference called as ‘Delhi Wi-Fi conference’ to involve national and international stakeholders in the execution of the project. According to DDC (Delhi Dialogue Commission), the government is sending out invites and requests to different cities and countries across the world to study best practices of successful Wi-Fi implementations and learning from failures in many places. So many participants have been asked to suggest on public WiFi and analyze the other parts of the world to find out what the 'ideal' level of access to public WiFi will be?
