Almost all mobile devices usually come with pre-installed apps and Apple’s iOS is no exception. iOS has accumulated a large number of default apps. Some of these apps, like Maps, Weather, Safari, etc. are fairly popular and widely used, while there are apps like Tips, Stocks, Passbook, Newstand, etc. which are not as widely used. The users therefore prefer to get them removed for better utilisation of the limited storage available to them. iOS does not provide any option to the users to remove them, though some users do delete such unwanted apps through jail-break.
Uber has revised the prices for the long distances trips as the uber partners (drivers) were earning very less money during long trips. Uber newsroom says, to justify partner economics, there’s a marginal change in pricing for longer distance trips. When the passenger is travelling beyond 16KMS on UberGo or UberX prices varies.
Uber – the US based ‘one tab to ride’ internet linked taxi provider has come up with another innovation. It has decided to provide Wi-Fi connection to all its customers (riders) free of charges while they are travelling across the city. Although the facility has initially been made available in Mumbai, the scheme will be rolled out in India’s other cities as well in a phased manner. At present, Uber is spread across 18 cities, including metropolitan cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, etc.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow is the latest version of Android under development by Google. The preview version of Marshmallow is available for developers to play around and develop applications for the same. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow is expected to launch with a new Nexus device offered by Google in mid of November.
