Renault India is soon launching Renault Kid, and the booking has opened on the 18th September. The new vehicle – a small good looking SUV-designed car will create ripples in the Indian automobile market. Its unmatchable driving dynamics coupled with innovative features would surprise many. The car will be available soon at a cost ranging from Rs 3.00 to Rs 4.50 lacs is said to be the most fuel-efficient, petrol operated passenger vehicle. As per the ARAI certification, it gives 25.17 kms per litre – an astonishing feat indeed!
The car has all-new 3-cylinder 0.8-litre SCe (smart control efficiency) petrol engine. It is said to be the best in ground-clearance (180-mm) and a boot capacity of 300 litres. Apart from the outer look, it is fabulous from the interior as well. Not only it has adequate space inside, it is equipped with 7” touch screen Media Nav system with digital instrument cluster. The four-speakers along with radio, CD, USB, Aux and Bluetooth compatibility will make it quite a popular car in the Indian market. Interestingly, it will give a tough fight to the likes of Hyundai’s Eon and Maruti’s Alto 800.

Renault also launched the Renault Kwid Virtual Showroom, which provides live sales demonstration and objection handling portal, where prospective buyers can book a slot. The company-trained consultants will take them through the features of the car via a live video demo online. It will be interesting to watch the acceptability of the car in India and its performance on Indian roads. Incidentally, Renault will be offering a two-year complimentary road-side assistance to its Indian buyers.
