Chromebooks had a history of being considered fairly basic and cost effective. People used to go for it for simple computing job and easy task. The Chromebook 15 however claims to be far better one in regard to several issues associated with the earlier version. The keyboard is spacious, quiet and comfortable to work on. Its trackpad is far better than the ones we are used to. While most of the earlier chromebooks were slow, this one is faster. The battery is claimed to last for 8 hours, but in reality, it lasted virtually 11 hours - a feat of sort! In short, the present edition of Chromebook is better in performance with long-lasting battery at an affordable cost, which is likely to be more acceptable in the laptop market.
Though it looks a little unattractive and dull with the body built of plastic, it is has several good features as well. The speakers are indeed effective. The fifth generation Intel Celeron chip improves its performance to a considerable extent. The Chromebook 15 will be available in two display versions - one offering a full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) screen resolution and another with HD (1366x768 pixels) resolution. The basic version will be priced at around Rs 16,000 in the Indian market. Let us see how it fares in the market.
