Amazon has come up with a new HDMI streaming device called the Fire TV Stick on 27th October 2014. It is a streaming device that exists completely in a small dongle that usually plugs into a HDMI port of TV's. The Fire TV Stick offers the similar experience as the Google Chromecast had offered last year. The device is ready for pre-order and the company will ship this before black Friday. That is on 19th November 2014.
It come with the ability to play games and is capable to stream from the major services that you would really expect. Those services are Hulu Plus, ESPN, YouTube, Pandora, and, of course, Prime Instant Video. The Stick will go on sale at a price of $39 and more importantly the prime subscribers can get it for $19 for the next two days. You might be comparing this device with Googleâs Chromecast stick, but there is nothing like Chromecast here. Amazonâs Fire TV Stick will not require any another devices to use it. The streaming stick comes with a remote at $99 Fire TV box.
The Fire TV Stick has a dual-core processor that is Broadcom Capri 28155, dual-core 2x ARM A9. It comes with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, Bluetooth 3.0 and dual-band, dual-antenna Wi-Fi. The Fire TV Stick comes with the same user interface as the Fire TV and has support for all of the current content channels on the Fire TV.
