Now that Android latest app 5.0 Lollipop is out, some users have complained of the trouble it is giving in its functioning. Mercifully, the application has still to reach many devices, but those – specially the Nexus users – who got Android Lollipop complain that while upgrading their gadgets, they are experiencing quite some problems.
Many of those who have experienced the app opined that 5.0 Lollipop is far from perfect. It is indeed ironical that Android 5.0 Lollipop which received some very favourable and positive reviews from many quarters in the recent past, failed to enthuse its users. In fact, many reviewers highly commended Google for overhauling its Operating System with improved and enriched features, and better user interface. The present set of unpleasant experiences has however failed to enthuse the users.

The users contend that the app is causing problems in regard to several aspects, like failing Wi-Fi connectivity, repeated crashes, device slowdown, broken apps and even in some cases, poor sound quality or audio failure. A few users also say that the Android code has a tendency to remove apps based on Adobe Air, and that reinstallation in such cases seems impossible. Some of them complained that they could hardly use their gadgets on account of slow running or repeated crashes. These users have counseled others not to rush through the process of upgrading their devices, but to wait till the application is suitably modified.
Google has to come out with necessary patches and modifications. Meanwhile in view of a general feeling of anxiety and desperation with Android 5.0 Lollipop, many posts have come up of late on Google’s support forums about the procedure for restoring back to Android 4.4 Kitkat. This is perhaps the only way out for those who find the new app not worth the admiration it got initially. Let us hope, the problems are sorted out soon.
