Google has launched the next version of Android application. The Android 5.0 Lollipop is now out, and will soon be available on Nexus devices, viz. the Nexus 6 (tablet) and Nexus 9. The Android’s official Twitter tweeted recently: “Lollipop rollout has started and will soon be available on most #Nexus devices. Dessert is served.”
The countdown has thus started, and the application will soon be available across the board. It is a matter of time – may be within a few weeks - when most of the devices would go for the latest version of Android Application. The Nexus devices would however be the first to update with the latest application. The Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and Google Play edition of the devices will soon be updated.
It is in this context that Motorolla announced that it would update its second-generation Moto X and Moto G devices in the United States. This would predictably follow updating its first-generation Moto X and Moto G smart phones too. LG has not been far behind. It also made an announcement that LG G3 smartphone would also be equipped with Android 5.0 Lollipop. HTC, Nvidia, Samsung, Sony – all of them will follow suit. The ROMs makers like CyanogenMod, Paranoid Android, and OmniROM which are based on Android Open Source Project version of Lollipop will soon come up with the changes.
Now a few words about the differences you would find in the new application. It is the new design application that would fascinate you. It is called ‘material design’ which would amount to a relatively bigger update than what one is seen earlier. It would have more aggressive and bold colours. The icons would look different. The overall look would be fairly simple but attractive. In short, the new application with certain perceptible changes is likely to get fairly popular soon. Let us now wait for getting this on your smartphone at the earliest.
