Google has promised to pushed the latest developer preview of Android 7.1 starting this month. As promised Google has started rolling the developer preview to its latest flagship devices called Nexus 5X, 6P and Pixel C. By default, Pixel C comes with Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) and this would be latest update to this flagship device.
This shows Google is really committed to delivering update to its Nexus devices and especially to its Pixel devices.
The Developer Preview is available to flash for the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, and the Pixel C.
To install the developer preview, you can do either of three things:

- You can sign up for the Android Beta program and you’ll be able to download the developer preview OTA.
- You can download the entire factory image as a TGZ file and flash the image to a phone by using the flast.bat method.
- You can download the OTA zip file which will bring your device to the latest preview build.

If you could not able to follow the above instructions, you can enroll into Android Beta Program and accepting the update over the air.
Caution: Just remember, if you want to revert to the most recent public software, your data might be wiped in the process.
