Apple is always trying to keep itself on the top by developing and building new technologies for their upcoming smartphones. Prior to the announcement of iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, the company has pushed an all-new Force Touch technology to 6S & 6S plus crafting them to have a next-gen Force Touch interface.
According to our sources, the new pressure-sensitive screen will likely to be called ‘3D touch display” because of the fact it acts upon three-levels of finger pressure instead of two. The three levels of trigger upon pressure are:
a) Tap b) Press c) Deeper press
The iPhone will behave differently based on the level of pressures applied by the user on the 3D Touch screen allowing developers to invoke a new user-interface trick to this technology. The feature might be available on the upcoming iOS 9 update.

- Navigate destination in the Map: With this, user can point at the Map application and do a Force Touch on the destination to instantaneously start turn by-turn directions.
- Music Application: In music application Force Touch will facilitate shortlisting of most commonly used songs in a playlist with a Touch.
- Some of the other examples are: a) Jumping to menu immediately b) Previewing webpage in safari with a Force Touch, etc.
