It is a fun to have one’s own logo. Apart from the thrill that it provides, your logo is a distinct symbol identifying you, and is quickly recognised among a host of other symbols. It is under this backdrop, we think, we may as well give some guidelines on creating your own

logo – absolutely free of charge. You need to have a bit of patience, a little understanding and application of your mind, and the logo is ready for you to call it your own and put this up at appropriate place. Isn’t it a fun? Well friends, first of all, decide for what you want to create an icon (jpg format). For your website, company, organisation or Mobile application. It needs use of just two software. They are a) Microsoft PowerPoint and b) Adobe Photoshop. Incidentally, these two software are usually available in all computers. The following procedure can be applied for creating Advertisement Banner as well. The pictures* are used to indicate the procedure in respect of Microsoft PowerPoint 2007, but can also be applied to Windows of any version (2000, XP, 2003, etc.)
Procedure to create your own unique Favicon (Symbol) is given below
- Open Microsoft PowerPoint
- Go to layout and select ‘Title Only’
- Arrange the box in form of square
- Write the Alphabets you would like to have for our Icon
- Select the Alphabets and increase its font by pressing - (CTRL + SHIFT + ‘>’) or decrease by pressing - (CTRL + SHIFT + ‘<’)
- Go to Format and change its colour, outline, etc so that it matches the purpose
- Copy the Icon you created to open Adobe Photoshop and take a ‘New’ white page
- To open ‘New’ page in Photoshop press – (CTRL + N). Write the Dimensions as Width - 500, Height – 500 in order to procure square Icon
- Click ok and then paste the Icon. Go to File → Click Save as → Select the Format as JPEG → write File Name and click save → Click Ok again.
In this way you can create our own unique, beautiful, matching Logo (Icon). Isn’t it really simple? Do share your views.
