Dell desktops are coming up with Google's Chrome operating system this month. These Chromebox desktops are small, but almost similar in features to Chromebook. On the other hand, we can easily hold them in one hand because of its lightweight built models. Both work on Internet services and apps provided through the Chrome OS. However, we use them in different usage platforms.
The Dell Chromebox is a low-priced Chrome operating system desktop, which is priced at US$179. There is one more Chromebox that is use for special meetings purpose like video-conferencing solutions, priced at US$999, out-of-the-box ." Said by Kelli Hodges, Brand Experience Manager at Dell. If somebody wishes to have this desktop-like experience but enjoys Chrome, he can have that pleasure through Chromebox.

It is disclosed by the company that the desktops will be dispatched on 26 September through Dell's website and sales channels. The company did not reveal countries' name where it would be available first.

The video-conferencing box can be connected to HD TVs & monitors. It is capable of simultaneously attending to 15 to 20 people group conference at a time. Attendees can log in through smartphones, tablets and PCs. It is also using the Google Hangout technology to bring people together in a video conference. In additions to this, a rear-end management console can create meetings, invitation to the members and give users privileges to create or join meetings. It has a remote control that comes with the box and has mini-QWERTY keyboard that can be used to add users to meetings or to mute participants.
These desktop models has 16 GB solid-state drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, four USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet and HDMI and DisplayPort display ports. The Chromebox for Meetings has an additional 1080p webcam.
