Bungie Studio released a new action video game "Destiny" in the record books on Wednesday, boasting the biggest ever launch of a new franchise. More than $500 million worth of copies of Destiny had been snapped-up by people eager to play or shops eyeing to sell the anticipated new game from the studio. The size of Destiny will be quite large for the Xbox One. With DLC being designed, this is only going to get even bigger in the future.
On the demand of an enthusiastic audience, retail and first party orders worldwide have exceeded $500 million for Destiny, said Bobby Kotick, Chief Executive of the publisher's parent company, Activision Blizzard. The production house has marked another blockbuster success for the company. Most notably, it is just a great game which one can't stop playing. However, Bungie has confirmed that Destiny will consist of six-players. Similarly, they have kept endgame talk to a minimum, so as to preserve that ever-important sense of discovery.
The game put players in the role of guardians of the last city on Earth, with enemies to battle and special powers to wield on the planets to explore. The computer's processing power coupled with Internet capabilities have resulted in creating an extraordinary combination of play options from solo action. Destiny is the game we have always wanted to make, Harold Ryan, Bungie President revealed on the occasion of its launch.
