Kickstarter has been on the job of bringing out a bicycle for several years now, which could fit in one’s dream of a light portable easy to maintain vehicle.
Hopefully, if everything goes on right, we may probably see such means of commuting soon, may be as early as next year. Its product, Gi FlyBike Folding bicycle – still under trial - is a single seater vehicle that is both foldable and electrically operated, and can run for around 60 kms in one charging. Cool, isn’t it?This innovative machine for urban commuting is simple, sleek, light and easy to operate. It will need little maintenance. It has full-sized wheels (26 inches) and the bike can be folded up fast enough – within a matter of seconds! The system enables it to fold in just one simple mode. Once folded, it can be locked through an app of your smartphone.

The technology is such that once the rider completes his trip, dismounts and folds the bike, it gets locked automatically. It can also be unlocked remotely. Incidentally, if you have lent it to someone for a drive, you can track it through your smartphone. It is likely to be priced at $ 1,000, and can be booked from Kickstarter. The supply is expected to begin from July, next year.
