Google is working on a new mobile payment service which works differently from Android Pay. One can use this payment service to pay-in-store for products without taking out the phone and with minimal interaction. This payment service works with low energy bluetooth Beacons technology.
Your phone must have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled before using Hands Free and most of us already have those two things enabled. The customer will simply tell the cashier that he or she is “paying with Google”, then the cashier verifies the image and initials with the customer and confirms the payment.

The problem with these type of payments is that, they require hardware in order to accept Hands Free payments. If Beacons are not working properly then the payment service will fail.
This pilot is currently only available in the South Bay Area of California for select locations of two merchants: McDonald's and Papa John's.
