Google has been coming out with innovative features at regular intervals. Some of them are highly useful and popular as well. One of such features announced recently is to find out your missing android run smart-phone by simply googling it on your laptop or desktop. The process is easy and trouble-free.
In the event of loss of your phone, all that you have to do is to make a simple google search, and you will find out where the phone is located. Just type ‘Find my phone’ into the Google Search, and it would lead you to the Android Device Manager on the browser. Here, it would produce a Google Map showing the last known location of your smartphone. You can also make the phone ring continuously for five minutes to make your search easier, especially when it slipped into some irretrievable space like the gap of the bed, etc.
The plus factor in the present feature is its simplicity to operate. You don’t have to install any app to the smartphone or your laptop/desktop to trace it. Simply using the Google’s search bar will do the job. However, certain factors in the feature are not viewed favourably by the users. For instance, at the time of the search the phone’s power button need to be on, and should not have been switched off. It should further remain connected to the internet and that your laptop/desktop should have been signed in the same Google account as is the smart-phone being traced. Notwithstanding the drawbacks, the feature is considered useful and practical.
