Google, Inc yesterday has officially shuts its earlier social networking site called Orkut, which is not being used by many people since many years. Most of the people shifted to Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and due to which at last Google has closed the Orkut. Read on.
Orkut was online from 24.01.2004 to 30.06.2014, which was approximately a 10 years service from Google. The major factor to close orkut is traffic, hacking of profiles, Vulger profiles, etc.

The purpose of saying this, was to hide the numbers of active users in orkut, which is suppose not to be more than 50 a day.
The company said that, it would preserve an archive till the 30th of September 2014. Persons interested in downloading their profiles and activities can visit the orkut.com and download it.
