The latest bike from Hero MotoCorp, Splendor Pro Classic, launched this month - last seen at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo - is a moderately priced two-wheeler. The model is a Cafe Racer style motorcycle with a look that seems absolutely different from its existing series.
The bike is likely to attract customers who want to go for an exclusive bike at a moderate cost. The Splendor Pro Classic is available in Delhi at Rs 53,900 (ex-show room) is considered to be good value for money. In fact, it is reportedly the cheapest vehicle in this class. Some of the features of the new bike are indeed attractive. The retro round headlamps, extending orange indicators and spoke wheels add to its appearance. Further, features like the chrome finish on side mirror, fuel tank & side cowl, silencer can, mud guards, split-looking handlebars and bulge at rear end, etc. enhance the vehicle’s utility for the user.

Since Splendor Pro Classic is equipped with a 100cc four stroke engine, it is likely to be most fuel efficient bike in India. It is available in two shades – Carbon Black and Solid Maroon.
Hero Splendor Pro Classic is powered by 97.2 cc air cooled powertrain. The maximum power and peak torque are 7.7 bhp and 8.04 Nm respectively. Power is transferred to the rear-wheel via a 4-speed manual gear box. This would mean that the vehicle has an advantage of about 1PS over its Standard version while the torque figures are almost similar. The vehicle’s fuel tank capacity is 11 litres.
