The company’s prestigious motorcycle, Honda Gold Wing GL 1800, has been considered a prized model on account of its elegance, comfort, and power. It is heartening to observe that the motorcycle has recently been launched in India, and will be available through its dealers in two varieties - Gold Wing Audio Comfort Dual Tone Candy Prominence Red and Gold Wing Airbag.

Honda’s Gold Wing GL 1800 has been made a still better bike with tons of features that would fascinate all those who enjoy countryside long drive. Its new bodywork coupled with the powerful engine and sturdy chassis package are worth a mention. The improvements in the bike are simply remarkable.

The Gold Wing GL1800 is powered by a 1832 cc liquid cooled horizontally opposed six cylinder engine that makes about 118PS at 5,500rpm and maximum torque of 167Nm. The computer controlled digital ignition with three dimensional mapping and transmission with five-speed plus electric Reverse make the bike a very special vehicle. The wheel-base of the bike is 66.5 inches while the seat height is 29.1 inches. It weights around 420 kgs. The fuel capacity of motorcycle is around 25 litres, which is considered adequate.
Honda Gold Wing GL1800 is likely to cost of around Rs 30 lacs (ex-show room at Delhi). It is however to be seen how the market receives this vehicle for the Indian roads.
