Honda has launched the Gold Wing Comfort in India at a price of Rs 28.5 lakhs, ex-showroom at Delhi. The bike was launched in order to commemorate its 40th anniversary of the iconic bikes from Honda. The Gold Wing has come up with several upgrades to preserve its image as the luxury touring vehicle.
The bike is powered by a six-cylinder 1832cc flat-six engine which makes about 118PS at 5,500 rpm. Keita Muramatsu, President and CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said, "We are eager to launch one of the luxury global offerings of Honda to India. It was our customers passion for adventure and traveling the open road that really defined the Gold Wing and has further led us to introduce the same in India. Honda has always presented power performance, handling and touring comfort. That is why it is always considered the leading touring-class bike. It is designed to optimize your riding experience with such special features as XM Radio with Nav Traffic/Nav Weather and a new built-in Trip Planner software. It also has a combined Anti-Lock Brakes that help you stop the bike on a marked point with greater confidence. The bike is equipped with the most important Honda’s revolutionary airbag system. It also features a slow-speed, electric reverse system, which provides the ease of parking in tight areas.
