It has been a problem with many of us to keep our mail-box uncluttered and free from unwanted mails. In the absence of regular sorting and deleting of messages in the mail-box, it not only gets full (mostly with unwanted and commercial mails) pretty fast, but very fast but also results in undue delay in retrieving your important messages. Here are a few tips that you may try your hands on for managing your Gmail box effectively.
If you look into the pattern of messages you receive on a daily basis, you will find that a good proportion of them are commercial by nature with little relevance to you. Open the mail, and look for the space that gives you an option for unsubscribing them. Click on 'Unsubscribe' to ensure that you do not receive any further messages from that particular mail-sender.
If you still have unwanted mails and spams, report them as spam. Gmail will take care to put such messages in Spam folder, which will get automatically deleted every 30 days. In case, you want them to be deleted earlier, you may clean off the Spam Folder manually as well.
