Technology in this decade has embedded itself in daily life to great extent and with the productive feasibilities provided by applications, people are habituated to it. While most of the apps require an internet connection, few might work just well offline. Google maps are one of the most widely used and it requires Internet connection.
But what should a person do if he does not have a proper data plan or Wi-Fi connection? The answer is – Google map’s secret feature “Ok maps” which lets you access Google maps offline. This process is available for both Android devices and iOS devices . The feature is not known to many people. If you are one of them check out the feature by following the steps.

Step 1: Make sure you have the updated version of Google maps. In order to do so, visit App Store for iOS and Play Store for Android device and look for updates.
Step 2: Search the area in the map and adjust the map which you want to save and use offline.

STEP 3: After this, just tap on the search bar and scroll down untill you see the option "Save a new offline map". Click on it and Pan and Zoom to adjust and click save.
STEP 4: Another alternative of step 2 is after you locate your desired map, tap the search bar and type "ok maps" subsequent to which you will be able to save the map. Give your map a name and save it.
STEP 5: To view your map. Open your profile and visit “your places” under which you can find the saved maps.
