There may be quite some instances when you may need others to send heavy files to you. This is not always possible through emails where there are limitations about the size of files one may upload. It is here that the Drop Box offers the facility to upload files by others to your Account. Thus, others can conveniently upload their large files to your Drop Box for your use without much of a fuss. In the following lines, an attempt has been made to explain the various steps for facilitating such transfers of files.
The question is: what materials do we usually seek to upload in our Drop Box? It could well be anything, ranging from the home work assignments from students, files from clients, presentation slides, contest submission, vacation pictures, etc. Now, the files so uploaded can be seen by you unless you are keen to make this available to and share with others. The Drop Box will create a folder on your request. If you however want to designate a folder for the job, well enough!

Step 1 - Open the following website, where you will find the page as indicated below with a button to create the request - https://www.dropbox.com/requests
Step 2 - In the next step you will be asked to fill in the box for creating file request. The relevant box is to be filled in by giving information on what you are requesting and where you intend to place your file.
Step 3 - The third step will be to verify your email address, wherein you need to go to your email inbox, trace the mail from Drop Box and click the relevant link
Step 4 - Next, you have to choose a folder for submission of the files, as shown below:
Step 5 - Here you get a link, which you may pass on to your clients or friends to use for uploading their files
Step 6 - And, finally you get the folder with the files uploaded for you to choose and open.
