The application of US visa of any category is completely an online process. The US Visa application department made sure to keep the process very easy and intuitive. Although the application process is quite easy, it varies a little bit with respect to visa categories. Please follow the post to know the Visa application process.
Pre requisites:
- Get to know your visa type
- Complete and fill electronic application form (DS-160)
- Make successful Visa payments
- Sign up and create account at www.ustraveldocs.com

After you are done with the Prerequisites, follow the steps below
STEP 1: Login to your account and select New Appointment on the left side of the box.

It will redirect you to next tab wherein you select the category of your visa
STEP 2: After Selecting the visa category, select the country or state of residence
STEP 3: Select the language in which you desire your interview to be taken
STEP 4: Select visa category that applies to you and visa class
STEP 5: Fill all your personal details with DS-160 confirmation number and proceed to payment. After completion, you will get your appointment confirmation.
After following all these steps and filling information, click on confirm and then select the available dates for OFC and Visa Interview. Subsequently, you will be sent Application Confirmation mail.
Reschedule Appointment
Sometimes, there might be times when you will have to reschedule your Visa appointment. In such a case, you can login to your account and perform the following steps.
STEP 1: Login to your account and select "Reschedule Appointment" on the left side side menu.
STEP 1: Login to your account and select "Reschedule Appointment" on the left side side menu.
STEP 2: Select the desired date of appointment for Consular Interview and OFC. Your appointment confirmation will be sent via mail.
