Camera Lens: Another important feature one must keep in mind while buying a camera is the quality of its lens. The lens is the eye of a camera and as such go for a camera with good quality optics. Superior quality lens can focus a sharp image on the camera’s sensor. The light gathering power of the lens need also be tested to ensure that the user can take pictures in low light as well. Further, the magnification power of the lens should also be considered.
Shutter Speed: This denotes the length of time during which the camera-shutter opens up to allow light to reach the sensor. The shutter speed (also called ‘exposure time’), the lens’ brightness and the object’s luminance jointly determine the amount of light that the sensor receives. High-speed cameras are good for taking pictures of sports events or moving objects with greater clarity and sharpness.
