It is well known that downloading Torrents applications in IOS devices is not allowed by Apple primarily because of allegations of piracy and third-party infringements associated with Torrents. The stigma attached to these applications has made them unacceptable in Apple related gadgets, like iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Now, there are a number of applications like iTransmission, Zbigz, Blue Downloader, etc. through which one can download Torrents applications in IOS devices without the need for jail-break of the gadget.
It may be clarified in this connection that Blue Downloader, a product of Bit Torrent, has now been allowed to download Torrents applications from a few trusted sources, and as such, this is presently available for download of Torrents file direct into Apple devices. Incidentally, the application is a paid one available now on App Store. While the admissibility to download may be a matter of rejoice for Apple users, there are apprehensions that the relief may be short-lived one and the application may again be barred sometime at a later stage. The creator of Blue Downloader, Mr Harrison Tyler, has this to say on the issue:
"There is an unfortunate stigma associated with torrent downloading. Even though there is almost an equal amount of illegal files on the Internet to regularly download, people still crack down on the evils of BitTorrent."
