How To Enable Continuity, Handoff Features On iPhone, iPad, And Mac Full Review

Hello friends, today we are going to give review on one of the most important and new features on iOS and Mac. This feature is capable of switching seamless connection between Mac, iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The features which I am talking about is Handoff and continuity, Where Handoff feature allows you to start one task on your iPhone and pick it up on your Mac. Continuity features includes Handoff, Instant Hotspot, SMS and Phone Calling .
Continuity, Handoff Features on iPhone, iPad, and Mac
Handoff and Continuity are two best features of iOS and OS X Yosemite which allows an iPhone or iPad to ‘handoff’ an application like a half-written email into the Mac can be completed in the Mac Mail app. Continuity feature is quite similar, it allows you to answer the calls and make calls, send and receive text messages through your iPad, iPod touch and even your Mac. This also permits you pick-up where you left off with supported apps and easily share a mobile Internet connection across Apple devices.

In this tutorial we will help you to enable Continuity feature which comprises the below four features. They are Handoff, Instant Hotspot, Phone calls and Text messages. First of all we will explain you the four important features how they work and follow up by enabling.
Handoff: The ability to pick up where you left off with apps. 
Instant Hotspot: Lets your Apple devices share a mobile Internet connection easily.
Phone calls: It allows you to make and receive phone calls using any supported Apple device.
Text messages: In addition to sending Messages like you always have, you can now also send and receive text messages using any supported Apple device.

How to enable Continuity feature? Before you proceed further you need to make sure that four things are placed well so that you can use all Continuity features. 
  • Make sure that all of your devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi.
  • You should be logged in into the same iCloud account on all of the devices.
  • You need to sign in into FaceTime using the same iCloud account on all the devices.
  • Please make sure that your devices are in range with Bluetooth on.
When you are done it is finish. But if you have not been able to use it yet, here is how you need do.
Handoff
  • On your iOS device go to Settings then go to General next to Handoff and Suggested Apps then click On.
  • Through your Mac go to System Preferences then go to General and check Allow Handoff.
Instant Hotspot
  • First go to Settings then go to Personal Hotspot and click On. You can do this on your iPhone or an iPad.
  • If the mobile Internet connection will show up as a hotspot on your Apple devices. Now you can connect to it without entering the password.
Phone calls and text messages
  • On your iPhone and iOS, go to Settings then go to FaceTime then tap on iPhone Mobile Calls and click On.
  • On your Mac, Open FaceTime go to Preferences then check iPhone Cellular Calls.
  • If you want to enable text message forwarding to your iPad or Mac, On your iPhone, go to Settings then go to Messages tap on Text Message Forwarding and click On.

Which devices supports Continuity?

Handoff and Instant Hotspot work on the following devices running iOS 8.1 or above:
1. iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, 6 and 6 Plus
2. iPhone 4s (only for sharing iPhone calls)
3. iPad (4th gen), iPad Air, iPad Air 2
4. iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina display, iPad mini 3
5. iPod touch (5th generation)

And the following Macs running OS X Yosemite:
1. MacBook Air (Mid 2012 and later)
2. MacBook Pro (Mid 2012 and later)
3. iMac (Late 2012 and later)
4. Mac mini (Late 2012 and later)
5. Mac Pro (Late 2013)
