Genuine Windows 8 is coming preinstalled with every new laptops we purchase. This preinstalled Windows 8 is called a OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). i.e. Operating system is bundled with your Laptop during its manufacture. Read on.
Now, suppose your operating system is corrupted or windows is not booting. In this case, you will not prefer to restore it using your laptop recovery software as it will restore your laptop to your original condition. In this case you will prefer to repair or upgrade your computer using your OEM Key as this will preserve your programs, files and setting. See the procedure to install it from below.

How To Install Windows 8.1 Operating System With Your OEM Key
- First, download the Windows 8.1 ISO or download from torrent.
- Then, make the Bootable pendrive ISO from here.
- Now, install the Belarc on your computer and get the OEM key by seeing the video below and note it down on a paper.
- You need to have generic keys to start the installation as your OEM key will not work there.
- Some Generic key are:
Professional : XHQ8N-C3MCJ-RQXB6-WCHYG-C9WKB
Enterprise : MNDGV-M6PKV-DV4DR-CYY8X-2YRXH
- Now, restart your computer and boot it in Windows installation.
- There enter the generic key from above and complete the installation.
- When everything is installed, go to windows activation or press win + pause (you might need to use a function key (fn). Change your product key by entering your WIN8 OEM key.
- Finish.
