I tried rooting my Galaxy Note 2 GT N7100 via CFAuto root, CWM via Odin and even Oneclickroot but nothing seemed to root my device. First check the compatibility list of Framaroot App here - Compatibility List.
Download the Framaroot App - Link.
Enable USB-Debugging inside the settings of your phone and install the Framaroot App.
Next open the app and select which ever mode the compatibility list says about your phone.
And Voila! you're rooted.

Like I said earlier if you want a custom recovery or a custom kernel, you can install the Mobile Odin Pro and do the same. I wanted to try the new leaked Official android 4.3 rom for my Galaxy Note 2. I posted about it here but this method never worked for me. Even worse, no other method worked until I found Framaroot. It isn't necessary to be rooted to install the pre-release of the Android 4.3 rom for your Galaxy Note 2, but it was Odin that never flashed the rom.
