Step 4: Change Your SSID Name :-
Network SSID name is the routers name which will be displayed to WiFi users. Usually routers brand name will be the default. Change it by any name you like. This will differentiate your WiFi network from other users in your surroundings.
Step 5: Set MAC Addresses :-
This setting is very good and gives full maximum security to your WiFi network. Every WiFi enabled devices like Laptop or Mobile Phones have their own unique MAC addresses. First you need to know the MAC addresses of your devices you want to connect to your WiFi network. Now, go to MAC filtering page in your Administration panel and add all the MAC addresses of the devices you want to use. Now only the specified devices will be able to access your network.
Step 6: Reduce The Range Of Your Signal :-
You can also specify the range of your wireless WiFi signal to your desired range. By doing this your network will be available only to your desired range. If the WPS push button is pressed on your WiFi then anyone would be able to access your network, so limiting your range will be a great help to secure your network in this case.
