How to Set Up Auto Sync Photos using Google Photos

Google Photos App is one of the best option for automatically backing up the photos you take with your phone to the cloud storage. Surprisingly, Google Photos offers unlimited storage of photos and videos for free. Today I will show you simple steps on How to Set Up Auto Sync using Google Photos.

Google Photos also has a built in Assistant that can generate Auto Awesome pictures, movies, and collages for you. It also has a search option to search for your photos and videos. By enabling auto sync option all the pictures you take are automatically stored on the cloud. They can then be viewed on all of your devices or in a web browser. See below for steps...

Steps On How to Set Up Auto Sync Photos using Google Photos

Step 1: Open Google Photos App

Open the Google Photos App on your Smartphone and click on the Menu on the upper-left of the screen. It looks like three parallel horizontal lines.

Step 2: Open Settings

After clicking on the menu, Go to Settings and tap on Back up & sync.

Step 3: Turn On Auto Backup

Toggle on the Back up & sync option and it will be on. You will be asked to provide Gmail account information if you have already provided before. This step is same on Android and iOS devices.

Step 4: Choose To Sync Only When Connected To WiFi

Usually, uploading pictures use a lot of data and time, so choose to sync only when connected to WiFi unless you have an unlimited data plan. This option is also available in settings.
Note: Now you can access your photos on all of your devices that are linked to your Google account from any browser or Smartphone. Also you can add multiple accounts by clicking on Manage->Add Account.
