When you want to access your Google Drive Documents you need an internet access which is quite not possible while you are travelling or in a no network coverage area. Don't worry here are some tricks using which you can view and even edit your Google Drive Documents offline.
Long drives or Airplane rides will stop you from working. So following steps will be very helpful to work offline on Google Drive. Use only one Chrome Account to login into Google Drive because, if you use multiple accounts then each account must be logged in with different Chrome Profile. Keep it in mind and follow the steps below....
Step 1 - Launch Chrome :-
Launch Chrome and sign into your Google Drive account.
Step 2 - Select More :-
After you have logged in, on left side of your account select More to see full list of options. Now click offline to continue.
Step 3 - Download Drive Web App :-
By clicking the Get The App button, download and install the Drive Web App to the browser. A box will appear for the installation select Add to install the App
Step 4 - Enable Offline Option :-
After the successful installation of the App go to Google Drive page and Enable Offline Option. Now all your documents will be synchronized to the computer for offline editing.
Step 5 - View/Edit Documents :-
Now you are done with the settings and you can now view/edit all your documents offline. To View/Edit files launch Chrome -> Go to Apps -> Google Drive, and select the desired document. Now you can edit the document and every change you made will be sync to Google drive when the internet is connected.
Note :- In order to use this editing option you have to use Google Chrome browser only.
