If you search anything offline in Google Chrome it will show an error message that - It is unable to connect to the internet. Many web browsers like Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox offers a work offline mode that auto saves the pages that you have accessed and open them when you request them offline. Chrome does not offer offline support by default but we can enable it through a simple step shown below.
You can work offline in Google chrome through this simple steps:-
1. In the chrome browser type " Chrome://flags/#enable-offline-mode " in the address bar.
2. Click enable.
3. Restart browser.
After doing this the pages you access while you are online will be saved in the cache. If the page you want to search is available in the cache then the page will be displayed while browsing in the offline mode.

Now when you work offline Google chrome saves the HTML content, JavaScript, and the CSS Stylesheet which is associated with the page, so that your page should look like the original page.
When you are travelling a long distance or in a plane just open the pages you would like to read when you are online and they will be saved in the cache. Now you can access those pages when you travel or you are in offline mode due to power failure or network unavailable etc.
Note:- The changes will take effect after you relaunch your chrome after enabling the offline mode. See screenshot below.
