Huawei has recently launched the Ascend Y540 in Netherland. There is no clear information on the launch in India. A publication named GSM Helpdesk claims that the handset is now available to buy in local markets at a price of EUR 109.
According to a publication the Smartphone features a 4.5-inch WVGA (480x854 pixels), which is identical to the display on the Huawei Ascend Y530 launched last year. It is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor, which is a minor upgrade from the Ascend Y530's 1.2GHz clock speed. The company has upgraded the RAM on the Ascend Y540, which includes 1GB of RAM. The phone has come up with dual-sim capability and also dual standby. The Smartphone is said to run on Android 4.4 kitkat operating system.

The Ascend Y540 also sports a 5-megapixel rear camera alongside a 0.3-megapixel front camera. There is 4GB of inbuilt storage further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). The handset is said to support dual 3G bands. The Smartphone is powered by a 1950mAh battery. The Smartphone is currently on sale in select European countries like Netherlands and Italty, the new Huawei Ascend Y540 is a budget friendly Smartphone.
