Huawei, a Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company launched its first Smartwatch at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Sunday. The Smartwatch features a 400x400 pixel 1.4-inch AMOLED touch-screen with a pixel density of 286 ppi. It is said to be running on Google's Android Wear operating system.
It has come with a Qualcomm APQ8026 1.2GHz processor and 512MB of RAM. It is equipped with fixed 4GB storage. The Smartwatch also features a heart rate monitor and a motion sensor. Huawei Watch will be available in three colors - Gold, Silver and Black. It is powered by a 300mAh battery. The Smartwatch has come up with choices watchband â One is of stainless steel while another is having Gold-band. According to the company this Smartwatch will be selling in 20 countries. Pricing and availability of the gadget is not clear yet. You can also pair it with your Smartphone via Bluetooth and the wearable will issue voice notifications for incoming calls. The notifications tell you which of your contacts is calling or can read out the number of the person calling.
The company is aiming at the premium end of the market, and joins an increasing number of device makers looking to create trendy wearable gear. According to the company, sales of wearables are expected to grow from 29 million in 2014 to 172 million in 2018.
