Dear Readers, as you all know, automakers are desperately trying to integrate smartphones into car dashboards, but what about smart-watches? Hyundai is adding support for Android Wear smart-watches this year. This will let you start your engine, lock doors, and even find your car all by your wrist.
Hyundai has launched a smart-watch app called Blue Link for its telematics system that will include voice controls for certain car functions. This car-monitoring app has come-up with the support for Android Wear on 5 January 2015. It was a day before the CES 2015 event in Las Vegas. The South Korean car maker will bring many features in the app. The app has been developed in partnership with the company called Station Digital Media. Apart from various functions, users can also perform many other functionality with the help of a quick button as seen in the image.

How does it work? The Android Wear device with the Blue Link smart-watch app must be connected via Bluetooth to a Smartphone to work. The company claims that the remote functions will work as long as there is Internet connectivity. There are some other voice-activated features that users will be able to utilize with the Hyundai Blue Link smart-watch app, like Remote Engine Start and Remote Engine Stop. You can use these things only when your vehicle is in remote engine start/stop mode. In additions to this, you have Remote door lock, Unlock, Remote flash lights, Car finder, Call roadside, and Call Blue Link.

Now, we can provide this capability to owners of Hyundai vehicles equipped with Blue Link". According to the company, the upcoming app Blue Link will be showcased on Samsung, Motorola, Sony and LG smart-watches at the CES 2015 event. The Blue Link smart-watch app will be compatible with first and next generation Blue Link-equipped Hyundai models. The Blue Link Smartphone app is available to download from Google Play store using the link given below.
