Intex launched its first octa-core phablet called the Intex i17 which is powered by latest MediaTek MT6592 chipset capable of rendering ultimate multi tasking and multi threading. This chipset can support upto 3GB of RAM as told by MediaTek. Read on.
But the Intex i17 consists of 2GB of on board RAM, 1.7 Ghz octa core CPU, MediaTek MT6592 Chipset, Mali 450 MP4 GPU clocked at 700 Mhz, 6 Inch HD IPS display, Android 4.2.2 and Dual SIM as well. Despite of Android 4.4 Kitkat rolling out, Intex is giving older 4.2 Jellybean version of android out of the box. May be they will soon give the update. Also i17 does not contain LTE support which is the major drawback for persons using 4G/LTE band. Our rating to this device as per announced specifications is 4.1/5.
