For the better part of last year LG has had great success with its first nexus (Nexus 4). So naturally Google decided to let LG have another bite at the nexus smartphone lineup with the Nexus 5. Nexus 5 was voted as the most rumoured and leaked smartphone in the history of nexus devices and we can't blame it. The phone is rocking some rock solid specs with pocket friendly pricing. We take a close look at new Nexus 5.
The reason why the nexus devices are so solid is the fact Google comes up with the lastest hardware and software at break neck prices. The Nexus 5 being the latest flasghip, Google's new Android 4.4 a.k.a Kitkat just adds more sweetness. With a 4.95 inch True IPS LCD 1920x1080 display and 445ppi, I'd say Google probably nailed it right here. The Nexus 5's display is just not any other ordinary AMOLED panel, its the one used in LG G Pro which has the highest brightness and true to life color contrast. With such a beautiful display comes a rock smacking 2.3Ghz Quad Core Snapdragon 800 CPU, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM and LTE in tow. With thin bezels and clear display, its gotta be one of the most beautiful looking devices on the market right now.

The 8MP on the back is now OIS(Optical Image Stabilization) capable meaning you get much clear, crisp photos in low-light. The video recording is still 1080p @ 30fps, although he'd hoped to see 1080p @ 60fps but doesn't matter. The front facing 1.3MP takes care of self potraits. The storage takes bump along with the battery at 2300mAH, the Nexus 5 now comes in two storage options: 16GB and 32GB while the nexus 4 only had 16GB as tops. This bump in storage is deifinitely a welcome. We'll have a more detailed review of the unit when ours arrive. Till then just oogle at the prices the Nexus 5 will be available for : $349 for 16GB(Black/white) and $399 for 32GB(Black/white). If you are in the states then you probably have the best chances to book one for yourself right now since the device is available for purchase.
