Maruti Suzuki S-Cross has shown earlier in 2014 Indian Auto Expo and made many people happy with the design of exteriors and interiors. Maruti Suzuki has joined hands with Nexa to make a new beginning in Indian market. The car is the title sponsor for International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards this year and was showcased for the first time in the event that took place in Malaysia.
In terms of looks, Vehicle looks more of a Cross Over than a Compact SUV as specified by the company director. S-Cross will offer dual air bags in the front, ABS and EBD. This vehicle can be easily compared with Hyundai i20 Active and act as rival to others models such Fiat Punto, Ford Figo, etc. S-Cross will offer a SmartPlay infotainment system same as Ciaz that allows bluetooth connectivity to receive call, play music, navigation system and control car features.

Exteriors
The front grill of S-Cross gets a bold twin-slat chrome radiator grill with Suzuki logo above number plate. It also comes with projector headlamps with a tail indicator at the bottom with daytime running LED all along. The bumper is dual tone with chromium finish around the fog lamps. Talking about the boot, S-Cross has a boot space of a Hatchback and features subtle silver roof rails and the B-pillar is blacked-out giving it the much needed tough looks.
Interiors
S-Cross gets a full black interiors with a silver dash to give immense highlights. The dual- dial instrumentation cluster features a larger driver information screen at the center. Steering gets mounted controls with infotainment system control and automatic climate control. It is a five-seater and has individual headrests for all the five passengers. Rear AC vents are also available for the rear passengers to feel premium and upright.
Engine & Performance
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross engine comes with 1.6-litre DDiS diesel and 1.4-litre K14B petrol will trump the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel. The 1.6-litre have a 118 bhp on tap along with a stunning 320 Nm of the max twist. Engine offers a 18kmpl considering its size, weight and power it offers.
