Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella visited India on Monday and addressed the employees at the Company's India Development Centre (IDC) Hyderabad. Microsoft is focused on reinventing productivity to empower every person and organization on the planet to do more. During his visit Satya Nadella spoke about the importance of India to Microsoft and how technology could be a key enabler to help people of India and businesses.
Nadella later held a closed-door meeting with the top officials of the company at IDC, set up in Hyderabad in 1998. There was no official word about Nadella's other schedules in the city. He is expected to leave for New Delhi later in the day and attend a few programmes in the national capital on Tuesday before returning to the US. The Hyderabad-born Satya makes his first visit to India after taking over as the CEO. As a matter of fact, Satya Nadella, 47, is from Hyderabad Public School (HPS) and is the son of former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer B.N. Yugandhar.
