After the launch of Windows 10, Microsoft has been releasing its personal digital assistant for PC called Cortana in more locations. It was first launched only in limited editions. But now Cortana is available as an optional download in Nihongo for Japan and in English for Australia, Canada & India.
The disappointing part is that only the users who are running the latest Windows 10 Insider Preview build will get this feature. Windows chief Gabriel Aul announced in a blog post that, an earlier version of Cortana is now available in India in English language. He futher said that the Indian version is not finished yet and the company is working hard to release it as soon as possible. The company also assured that it would roll out an update later this month to improve voice support in India. The company also announced that Cortana will come to Brazil, Canada and Mexico soon.

Cortana was first announced as a flagship feature of Windows Phone 8.1 last year. It was competing with Apple's Siri and Google's Google Now assistants. Cortana was a successful launch and it received positive feedback. But its limited availability made customers wait for too long. So Microsoft is looking to improve this by releasing Cortana in major countries.
