Microsoft has a surprise for students all around the globe. This February Microsoft is offering free Office 365 Subscriptions to all the eligible students. Surprisingly free subscriptions are not only valid in US but also outside the US. Almost all major countries are listed by Microsoft. You too can check your country on the Microsoft Website.
Once you subscribe you will be able to use the Office in five computers, tablets or smart-phones. Now you may be wondering as to how you can avail yourself of this subscription. Right? The schools have to buy subscriptions for their staff and faculties. Once this is done, the students can freely subscribe using valid school issued email address. After signing up, you will get the latest Office, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access and Publisher. With free Office 365 Subscription, Microsoft also offers 1TB of storage on OneDrive and Office Online access to eligible students.
You can also Self Sign-Up. Self sign up is now available. You can visit the Office 365 Website for students and sign up directly using the email provided by your school. Microsoft also made an announcement in its blog that the next version of Office for Desktops will be called 'Office 2016'.
