Nokia is finally up with new Android tablet called Nokia N1. At a Slush Conference in Finland, the company announced the N1 Android tablet. The tablet went on sale in China on Thursday and was sold out within 4 minutes and 2 seconds. Nokia has approved Xiaomi like flash sale model for the sale of the device in China and it appears it's off to a great start.
According to the rumors there are more than 5.6 lakh consumers registered to purchase the tablet and the initial lot of 20,000 units. The N1 will go back on sale in China on 15 January 2015. It is designed like an iPad and comes at a affordable price of around $250. Significantly, unlike its previous Windows based endeavors, the N1 tablet runs on a stock of Android 5.0 Lollipop featuring the Nokia Z launcher. As far as specifications are concerned, it is powered by Intel Z3580 quad-core processor and has a 7.9-inch Display. It resolution similar to that of the iPad mini, i.e. 2048x1536 pixels. It has provisions for 2 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
The tablet also features a 8-megapixle rear camera and has 5-megapixle front camera. It supports a 5,300 mAh battery. The N1 has scored more then iPad mini on beanchmarks like GFX platform. With the launch of the Nokia N1 tablet and after striking a deal with Microsoft, the company has neatly bypassed the restrictions imposed by the latter.
