Facebook ranks 2nd in the list of most popular website in the world and it always intend to remain on top with frequent improvements and add-ons. In this process, facebook came up with its improved website, facebook app and facebook messenger app. As of now, The latest addition is made in the facebook messenger app – Use facebook messenger without any facebook account.
In the beginning of 2015, Mark Zuckerberg opened up Messenger for developers to allow user-retailer acquisition. With the latest update, facebook has added provision for users which allow them to sign up for its Messenger app with just a phone number. When the user launches the app, an option will be displayed “Not on Facebook?” Selecting which, a user can sign up with phone number, name and a photo.

The Menlo Park Company is in the process of developing updated version of Messenger which includes all its features like group chat, video calling and stickers etc. This step from facebook clears the clouds that facebook wants to spread its wings as a standalone platform. The Messenger app already has 600 million active users and with this update, it is anticipated to spread its scope towards users with no facebook account.
