Google in partnership with Nvidia developed an Nvidia Shield Android TV with Android 5.1.1 lollipop OS out of the box. A sleek and angular sheild set-up box is priced at $199 which includes Shield Gamepad controller. This controller act as remote control to play Netflix 4K movies, and stream games from Nvidia’s Grid servers or from your own Nvidia GeForce-equipped gaming PC.
Talking about the specifications, Shield comes with NVIDIA® Tegra® X1 processor with a 256-core GPU and 3 GB RAM. It is capable of playing 4K video at 60fps (frames per second) and supports various formats such as MPEG-2/ MPEG-4/ Xvid/ DivX/ WMV9/ ASF/ AVI/ MKV, etc. It comes in two storages variants 16GB and 500GB, build-in with bluetooth, Wi-Fi and upto 10Gbps ethernet port.
