The new Google Maps is a feature-filled app that not only provides directional help but renders assistance on issues like turn-by-turn navigation, indication of traffic volume on the way to your destination, voice search, transit information, etc. In fact the Google Maps has issued certain new updates, which make it look quite attractive and more usable with bold colors and textures, thereby making it still further useful and handy. If you find loading of the Google Maps cumbersome and time consuming, you may as well opt for Google Maps Lite, which loads faster. There are however a few shortcomings in the ‘Lite’ version. For instance, you will not be able to see 3D imagery or Earth view, nor will you be able to see the location of your device on the map. You will also not be able to set up your home and work addresses. The positive factor is: you can switch back to the feature-filled Google Maps anytime you like. So, why not try your hand on Google Maps Lite and see how it suits your needs?
